To quote Joel "Look at the great brood pattern"! By his enthusiastic tone, I knew this had to be a good thing! What makes a solid brood pattern is a strong queen. If the queen does not lay an egg in a cell, the bees will not cover it resulting in a blotchy frame of brood. This queen has been laying eggs consistently and the bees are covering the cells with wax to allow for the new batch of workers to mature. They will emerge in about 21 days. The bees arrived on first week-end of April and this picture was taken on April 24th.
