This photo was taken April 10th,and we were surprised to see pollen coming into the hive so early. It has started out to be a very encouraging year to date! As of April 17th, we have had a 40% survival rate of last years bees, best rate for the past 5 years. We received 15 boxes of bees from Georgia the first week-end in April, blessed with moderate temperatures, our bees are acclimating well. Joel has been feeding sugar water and has removed the tar paper from the hives. Daffodils are in bloom and the blossoms are swelling on the trees throughout the orchards. Spring is making its mark, and we are ready!
